This is an attempt of a 2008 Summary - Over things that I managed to do and see

A fun exercise that I normally do arouynd new year each year is to make a summary of the year that has passed. It often suprise med how much you have accomplished when you just take some time and reflect of things that have brought joy and well being to your life.

So here is the monthly overview
* January - Annual winter visit to see my daughter, how just has started to speak english at the age of 3. Anazing how quick kids learn.
* February - Completed the Vasaloppet cross-country race. A great feeling to enter the finishing straight and get a winners-wreath around your neck. Wow feeling.
* March - All paper work finally in place, after passing MEX 5 times in 8 days. And strating to sort out what I want to do next.
* April - Skiing with my nephew, and driving a snowmobile for the first time. Enyojing the speed of life.
* May - Enjoying the great apple with great company. A Starbucks breakfast is a great start of a day.
* June - Completed the Vätternrundan, 300km bikerace in the Swedish summernight. Great feeling to pass go a max pace with the fast riders just before finish and reaching the finsihing line after 12 hours. And celebration in style in Veghas afterwards. There is still a bit young left...
* July - Completed the Vansbrosimmet, styled in a 20+ years old surfing wetsuit, in the chilly waves of the Vanån river. A little revenge on all my previous swimming and diving teachers.
August - Wining down to the slow pace of the Seychelles life, with a home prepapred dinner with locals as a highlight. Alaways fun to compare notes on life stories.
September - Finally reaching this years major goal, the Swedish Classic, after 30km of riunning in the woods of Lidingö. But the best part was all preparation runs around Djurgården on the Saturdays and Sundays leading up to the event.
* October - Two small sketches in a pub, where artists managed to capture a bit of my character, without even talking to me.
* November - Taking over a small place that I have enyojed for the first 42 years of my life. And a great feeling to dream with sketches and ideas of what you can do with your hands.
* December - The little wonder turning 4 years, with the best part yet to come ...

But as easy as it is to remeber the big moments, as easy it is to forget the small joyfull moments
* The decision to start to blog - you get to know other people better by reading their blogs, and friends pick some of the thoughts you dare to express.
* The side effects of facebook - I have re-established more 20 year old contacts than I have done any year before, and quite fun to track and be tracked.
* Birthday celebrations - did this year come as postcard, sms, phonecalls, fb wall-messages, mails and hugs.
* C&tail parties - easy to host, and great for socializing.
* Portrait photography course - There is a rembrant triangle living within all of us, and it pops up with some softbox light.
* Carpenter pants - make you feel a bit serious with the saw and happer, and a great way of cleaning out stress and pressure from your mind.

This year we have one of these wonderful years with Xmas eve on a Wednesday and plenty of time to releax with few days of vacation. Why don't allow yourself to dream, big and small, and add a bit of courage through support from freinds and family to realize something in 2009 that you long for. You deserve more than you think, and it can be realised as long as you let your dreams stay alive.

Great blog! I'd love to read something about your finishing the Vasaloppet - it's one of my life goals...
