Smoking a cuban cigar - is well above par

Dear Blogreaders,

A blog on cigar is inevitable with Smoke's (Tony Stewart) Nascar 2011 win coinceeding with my trip to Cuba

Cuban cigar is the norm for the best in the world. The quality come from great climate for cultivating the tobacco and grom a long tradition. The tobacco used is of three types. An inner layer with small narrow leaves with the bulk of the bulk of the tobacco leaves. The string in the middle of the tobacco leaf is removed, and with it all the nicotine. Cigars contains no additional chemicals, but have 100 of natural poisons in it. A fixture layer keeping all the inner leaves together. Finally an elastic wrapper layer giving the cigar its final look.

The tobacco is cultivated in very red fertile soil. Dried for around 45 days in special tobacco drying houses. All cigars ar made by hand, and a worker typically make 80-120 on an 8 hour shift. The rolled cigar get its final shape in a cigar molde.

The most popular model right now is the "Robusto", a short and thick model that burns in half an hour. Cohiba is considered the best and Monte Christo the best value for money. Other famous Brands are Romeo y Julieta, H Uppman and Hoyo de Monterrey. A great place for testing cigars is at the cigar factory just behind the Capitoleum building. Yes Havana have a Capitoleum very similar to the one in Washington.
