Dear Blogreader,
At Roppongi Hills there is a high-rise building with 51 floors and since most of the surrounding buildings are not that tall you have a fantastic view over Tokyo. At the 49th floor there is a conference center, Accademic Hills, and a lounge area with public access. Since the view is mind boggling here is some mine/mind-blogging.
The harbour and Haneda Airport on one side. The Red coulored "Eiffel Tower" on another side. and a view all the way to Mt Fuji on another side. And the city never ends. Even more Amazing than flying into Mexico City, that also is a kind of huge city. and I believe that this is the biggest city in the world.
Yesterday the rain was pouring down and it was impossible to see anything for anyone. And having slept for 16 hours with monthly contact lenses, at the end of their lifetime, did nothing to contribute to clear visibility. Today is a different story, or more specifically the 49th story. Clear Blue sky, eyes back in shape and soon on the way on to the stage.
It is a bit different to send the slides for translation way in advance. Having to prepare by going through the slides with an interpreter multiple times, and then figure out how to do it in realtime. Talk slow - not my regular cup of tea. Wait with switching slides until the transaltor has stopped translating and picking up all the questions through a translator, which mean that I have to have both a microphone and a funny looking earpiece. Will be a new exercize, but my translator is great so it should not be much of a problem
No I just have to learn my closing phrase:
Goseicho, Ariga-to, gozai mashita - Thank your very much for your attention
Thanks for reading and all the best to the next one!
